ProfileLegal Assistant The candidate will support the Legal Department in all administrative aspects of the intake, tracking, execution, and filing of a variety of contracts and related documents. Work diligently to assure expeditious processing of contract review requests. Responsible for handling the contract signature process after final attorney approval. Take an active role in ensuring compliance with corporate policies related to document retention. Manage and administer the department-specific document management program; work with the attorneys and staff to utilize the program optimally. Assist all company departments with retrieving electronic files and performing document searches. Audit legal files/folders to ensure fully executed documents have been saved appropriately. Create a filing system for retaining hard copies of executed documents. Participate as an active member of the Legal department; observe current legal processes and procedures and provide input if areas of efficiency can be established or enhanced. Must have Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience providing contract administration services in a busy law firm or corporate environment, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication is needed. Highly competent in working with document management systems, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is must.
