Vienna office of our client seeks attorney with 1-5 years of experience after admission to practice law. The candidate will assist other attorneys in firm, including supervised contract drafting, review and revision as well as transactional filings. Will conduct and manage discovery, including e-discovery, in complex litigation. Draft and prepare pleadings and other related litigation documents, including motion briefs. Attend return hearings and pretrial conferences. Perform legal research through Westlaw. Effectively and persuasively communicate with judges, arbitrators, mediators, clients, firm staff, and opposing counsel; and effectively manage time while meeting client, court imposed, and statutory deadlines. Must be admitted to practice law in Virginia. Experience with Westlaw is required, with preferred experience in Westlaw Next. Previous clerkship, including specifically in Fairfax County General District Court, Fairfax County Circuit Court, or United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is preferred. Litigation experience, including, specifically, with discovery matters is needed. Contract drafting, review, and revision experience is essential.
