Legal Assistant - Litigation Duties : The candidate will exhibit outstanding client service orientation in greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and conducting telephone conferences. Displays a strong attention to detail. Proactively supports attorneys. Responds to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes work. Prepares and reviews letters and memoranda according to Firm standards using word processing and document management systems. Proactively monitors deadlines. Processes requests for payment and reimbursements. Creates, maintains, and retires files in accordance with company’s Information Governance Policy. Assists in managing client contacts, emails, and print documents as well as processing mail. Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner. Transcribes dictation. Files documents with the courts electronically. Drafts pleadings (i.e. appearances, summons, motions, orders).

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: The candidate should have 3+ years experience with Litigation legal work. Preferably have Higher education or coursework related to the legal industry. Must have proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Improving upward mobility would be nice, or at least clarifying how associates can climb the ladder should they wish to.

Pros : The benefits offered by this firm are top notch, especially the health insurance. There are also quite a few perks thrown on top that make the overall compensation package very impressive.
Cons : Upward mobility here could be better. I am not sure about the statistics, but I haven't seen many people promoted in the time I've been with the firm.
