Group Lead The candidate assists with supervision and direction of daily staff activities and performance to assure performance goals are met. Provides ongoing training and evaluation of staff and makes recommendations to management. Communicates with other areas as needed to achieve department and corporate objectives. Answers staff questions regarding benefits, processes and claim issues. Distributes work (other than phones) as needed. Handles escalated calls. Uses telephone system live and historical reporting to monitor staff and phone activity and makes/recommends changes as needed. Complies with corporate attendance policies. Meets productivity and accuracy standards. Assists with monthly phone audits. Handles special projects or assignments as needed. High school diploma or equivalent is needed. Should preferably have 2-3 years Medical or benefits administration field, Customer Service and or Claims Processing background. Excellent oral and written communication skills is needed. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) is essential. Claims and/or paralegal experience is preferred. Knowledge of plan benefit interpretations are desired. Experience in an analytical environment (for example, banking or insurance) is a plus.
