Legal Secretary - Labor and Employment
The candidate will be responsible to creates, edits, formats and proofreads documents. Prepares legal documents for eFiling and filing via PACER. Communicates to and on behalf of his or her attorney using Firm technology. Prepares new client matter request packet and coordinates approval; coordinates conflict search processes; prepares retainer letters. Reviews proformas and edits bills according to client billing arrangement. Enters, tracks and coordinates new client/matter information. Edits and coordinates client pitches with Marketing Department. Maintains InterAction and/or Extranet data. Maintains electronic and paper files in accordance with Firm guidelines. Maintains and monitors attorney calendars. Coordinates and/or books travel arrangements. Prepares, tracks and maintains attorney expenses in Chrome River. Organizes and coordinates conference calls and client meetings. Other duties as assigned. Should preferably have Associates degree. 5+ years of legal secretarial experience in litigation is necessary. Speaks and writes English clearly and succinctly. Notary Public is critical. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Chrome River; InterAction; Carpe Diem.
