Trial Attorney, Bodily Injury - Insurance Defense The candidate will provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to the Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. Will handle own cases from beginning to end. Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements. Work closely with our customers and claims team to ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes. Should have Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Must have active license to practice law in California required. 3+ years of civil litigation experience is preferred including auto insurance defense. Must have listening, verbal and written communication skills, ability to litigate and try cases. Should be capable of working independently and as a team member. Should have proficiency at conducting expert discovery.
