A law firm in Washington, . is seeking a Litigation Professional Track Associate Attorney with a strong background in product risk regulatory work. The ideal candidate will have experience with regulatory agencies such as the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The role requires some litigation experience and the ability to effectively interface with both agencies and clients. Excellent academic credentials, oral and written communication skills, and membership in the . Bar (or eligibility to waive in) are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support and representation in product risk and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Interface regularly with regulatory agencies including CPSC, FDA, and NHTSA.
  • Manage cases involving product liability, safety compliance, and regulatory enforcement.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and regulatory submissions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on issues related to product risk and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and meetings with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies to address client needs and objectives.
  • Handle complex regulatory and litigation matters with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials with a record of excellence.
  • 3-10 years of regulatory and counseling experience, preferably with exposure to CPSC, FDA, and NHTSA.
  • Some litigation experience required, with a proven ability to manage complex legal matters.
  • Member of the . Bar or eligible to waive in, or in active, good standing with their respective state.
