Title and Settlement Processor
The candidate will provide top notch customer service and maintain positive relationships with Attorneys, Paralegals, Lenders and owners. Order and track title search from abstractor/examiner for all title requests. Process of title orders. Maintenance of account receivables and pending files. Underwrite and type commitments, policies and endorsements. Complete daily deposit of receivables in the processing system and a bank in compliance with ITMS accounting standards. File all incoming mail with the appropriate file. Coordinate with a closing attorney or appropriate personnel for document recording. Deposit funds and cut checks where needed for recording. Process settlement files and assist with CD prep, closing coordination and disbursement of funds. Should be a high school graduate and 3 years of clerical or processing experience related to title insurance, banking, mortgage lending, real estate paralegal support or loan processing. General knowledge of title insurance, legal instruments and terminology relative to conveying or encumbering the property. Type with reasonable speed and accuracy (typing test required). Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, organize workload and maintain accurate files. Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
