Post Doctoral Fellow - Research The Fellow will design and conduct original research for both internally and externally funded projects of interest to the Bionformatics Laboratory. With the guidance from the Associate Director of Bioinformatics and Collaborate/Coordinate with the Director of Bioinformatics, able to and encouraged to apply as Principal Investigator for externally funded grants. May assist with routine laboratory management work as requested by the Laboratory Head. Develop, implement, and maintain computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale omic datasets. Analyze data, produce oral and written reports, participate in team meetings at which work will be discussed and planned. Assist the Associate Director and Director in the preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals. Develop independent research and publications consistent with the core laboratory focus.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Post Graduate (6+ years of formal training/education beyond high school; e.g., Ph.D., M.D., JD Degree). Needs to have experience with HPC or cloud developing bioinformatics pipelines for “omics†datasets.
