Associate Attorney - Social Security Disability Candidate will work in Social Security disability law. Will represent our clients at the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO). Will be responsible for reviewing case files and medical evidence both before and after cases have been scheduled; communicating with clients to prepare for hearings; representing claimants in administrative hearings; and reviewing and writing briefs to the Appeals Council. Will be briefing and oral argument at the Federal District Court and supervision of paralegal and clerical staff. Will handle 30-40 hearings per month.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: JD Degree. Good standing member of any State Bar association. Preferred Experience: Admitted to the Bar in Rhode Island. Experience with Medical Records and/or Disability Law. Must have a commitment to representation of person with disabilities and possess the following characteristics: Excellent Communication Skills. Compassion for Clients. Critical Thinking and Analysis.Proactive.

More advancement opportunities need to be offered and the environment more structured to improve; the workers there would be wonderful and it would improve morale a lot.

Pros : Firm is large and has many clients so the work is always there. Some team members are on task all the time.
Cons : I felt my time here as very draining. Working here for over 10 years and with little advancement make me feel that I am not deemed worthy of recognition.
