Contract Manager / Senior Contract Manager Duties: Collaborating with business functions to draft and negotiate a wide variety of complex contracts including but not limited to: master service agreements, standalone agreements, work orders, change orders, amendments, distribution, manufacturing and supply agreements as needed. Management of contract template processes, including systematic reviews of templates and playbooks, and incorporation of best contracting practices and provisions. Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions. Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters. Identify risks and issues, suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution. Develop and implement improvements to the contracting process and ongoing compliance. Monitor agreements throughout the contract life cycle for price increases, product launches, appropriate approvals, expirations, etc. Advise internal teams of company processes, contract status, and make recommendations based on company policies and standards. Works with Legal attorneys, Compliance and other business functions to ensure that templates are in compliance with legal requirements and best practices. Works on other legal projects as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree required; JD or paralegal certification preferred. Senior Contract Manager: 8+ years of direct contract experience. Contract Manager: 5+ years of direct contract experience. Biotech / Pharmaceutical Industry preferred. Ability to independently draft, negotiate, and administer contracts. Strong contract drafting, negotiating and analytical skills. A dynamic self-starter with a positive attitude and strong influencing skills. Ability to work successfully towards strict deadlines, as well as independently on multiple, simultaneous assignments. A demonstrated ability to lead change. Good judgment in working with clients, and occasionally under ambiguous or challenging circumstances. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with Contract Management systems. PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
