Internship The intern will work with the Boise Office managing attorney who primarily handles domestic violence casework in Idaho's Fourth Judicial District. Wwill have the opportunity to take on substantial responsibilities, which may include: calling and meeting with clients, interviewing witnesses, assisting in trial preparation, researching and writing briefs to courts and office memoranda, drafting complaints and other pleadings and conducting educational workshops The intern will also be responsible for administrative tasks like filing and copying. Will work with other attorneys on issues in elder law, estate planning, public entitlements and housing law. Should have completed first year of law school; interest in working for clients with low incomes and on poverty law issues; self-motivation; strong sense of justice; professionalism; willingness to work under pressure and come early or stay late when necessary; excellent interpersonal and legal writing skills, or a strong interest in improving them.
