Legal Internship The Intern will work closely with staff attorney and Director to help research, develop, and enforce effective, clear energy policy. Will gain experience in research, statewide renewable and energy efficiency policy, and both judicial and administrative litigation. May be involved in other projects outside the scope of the specified internship. Track legal issues and regulatory proceedings regarding Missouri's renewable energy and energy efficiency laws. Research, draft, and prepare administrative filings and other documents on pertinent legal issues pertaining to renewable and energy efficiency policy in Missouri. Research and prepare internal memos on the creation and implementation of best-practices clean energy policy in Missouri.
Qualification and Experience
The intern should be a law student who has completed their first year of law school and who is experienced in legal and case law research. Flexibility and the ability to work both individually and in groups are key qualities in any Renew Missouri intern. Should have experience with Westlaw and/or Lexis Nexis legal research tools, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency with computers, and interest in clean energy policy issues.
Schedule: 10-15 hours/week
