Paralegal Duties: Requesting, obtaining and summarizing medical records. Drafting responses to discovery. Scheduling depositions, witness interviews and other meetings. Interviewing witnesses. Preparing file materials and exhibits for depositions, mediations, hearings and trials. Managing attorney schedules and calendars.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Associate’s Degree with 2 years' experience required. Workers’ compensation experience is a plus. Ability to meet billing expectations. Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and work load. Ability to meet a deadline. Ability to work independently. Ability to take initiative in managing files. Excellent communication and written language skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Maintains an exceptional customer service attitude and demeanor at all times. Takes ownership; gets the job done without the need for prodding or supervision. Adapts well to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities. Maintains a professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
