A law firm in St. Louis is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defending and litigating lawsuits related to employment claims, representing employers in various forums, and providing legal counsel on labor and employment matters.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Stay updated on current court procedures and employment-related agency procedures at the state and federal levels
  • Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ensure attention to detail and commitment to excellence in all tasks
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Active admission to the Missouri Bar or ability to obtain admission quickly
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, with a background in employment law strongly preferred
  • Understanding of current court procedures and employment-related agency procedures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active admission to the Missouri Bar or ability to obtain admission quickly
