ProfileMarket Director The candidate builds the relationship with and serves as the primary point of contact with senior leaders in the markets. Actively identifies solutions and opportunities for best practices and performance improvement. Communicates effectively with senior level leadership as well as with operating professionals, whether within Ascension Care Management, its clients or partners. Provides leadership to all stakeholders responsible for population management and holds others accountable for prioritizing and meeting objectives. Provides substantive expertise and strategic perspective to existing and potential clients and partners, both internally and externally. Deploys strong analytic capabilities to solve strategic and operational issues relating to building networks, using health partner resources, member activation, and other opportunities to align across functions. Works to design market strategies that leverage various types of service offerings and/or types of potential target clients e.g., with commercial payers, government payers, large or small employers, brokers, or others in accordance with achieving ACM’s stated growth objectives within a given market. Works with the Project Management team and Performance Excellence to set high standards for best practices, templates, and process checklists, as appropriate, for launching new Ascension Care Management markets and appropriately meeting the needs of ACM clients. Creates systems and files that are easily replicable and enable scaling new markets more quickly, as the company seeks to institutionalize knowledge and learning and to take advantage of past experiences as it engages new opportunities. Recruits, trains, motivates and cultivates exceptional talent to ensure successful execution of client initiatives and strategic planning for clients and markets. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field. Master’s Degree in Business, law, finance, health policy, or other related fields is strongly preferred. Should have 7+ years of relevant professional experience required with a particular interest in strategy and client engagement. Experience in population health and/or healthcare transformation is preferred. Significant experience launching new business initiatives across different markets and demonstrated ability to manage complex information and multiple processes, and be able to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they arise is essential. Proven success building relationships with, presenting to and negotiating with “c-suite executives” or their equivalents in business, government, and/or other large organizations is essential. Medicare Advantage experience is highly preferred. Demonstrates deep strategic knowledge of key issues related to Ascension Care Management Health Partners, the differentiating features of its business model, and the healthcare services industry at large. Ideally, this would include an understanding of clinical, non-clinical, financial, and administrative data pertinent to Ascension Care Management’s business is needed. Strong emotional intelligence and ability to effectively to work at multiple levels of different sized organizations, with success in building coalitions and positive influencing decisions to achieve key milestone and concrete outcomes is essential. Strong managerial skills able to identify, attract, train and manage the highly effective client experience team that supports the work of Ascension Care Management is needed.
