Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for Ensuring that effective legal counsel is provided to NGAS business partners in connection with currently existing domestic and foreign programs and business capture pursuits. Drafting and negotiation of commercial and government contracts including teaming agreements, contracts and subcontracts. Collaborating with embedded specialist counsel and corporate function counsel in connection with NGAS matters. Advising NGAS executives on a variety of legal and ethical issues. Assisting litigation and investigations counsel in connection with NGAS matters. Effectively managing outside counsel when necessary. Supervising paralegals and administrative assistants.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctorate and active state bar membership with10+ years of directly related broad based experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel. Experience in drafting, negotiating, reviewing and evaluating major contracts is preferred. Should have a Government sponsored-security clearance and/or access, which the selected candidate must be able to obtain and retain. Must be able to manage and work well with others and assist with special projects assigned by the NGAS Sector Counsel or the General Counsel. Superior oral and written communications skills. Exceptional integrity, outstanding analytical skills and strategic thinking, exceptional judgment and a record of managing complex legal matters. Exceptional ability for collaboration, team work and motivation of others through thought leadership. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple, complex and competing priorities; organize and lead teams; utilize diplomacy, program management and interpersonal skills to accomplish objectives; and partner with other organizations and councils, both inside and outside the company. Experience in US government contracting.
