US Tax Senior Manager The candidate will partner closely with the business, finance, and all other functions to provide timely advice on all tax matters relating to the US business. Ensure tax strategies and model remain aligned with directional business plans and strategic initiatives. Responsible for the tax aspects of the US Financial reporting process and participate in the global process, including overseeing preparation of the US federal and state tax provision, partnering closely with Finance on at least a quarterly and annual basis. Assist in building automated tax accounting processes going forward. Responsible for managing and reviewing the outsourced US Federal as well as State tax return processes and payments as well as documentation related to transfer pricing, r&d credit and other relevant items. Proactively manage relationships with tax authorities and efficiently resolve tax audit controversies. Work with Finance, Supply Chain, Business Development, etc. to improve and maintain all tax-related compliance and business processes involving Sales and Use, customs, withholding and other taxes. Assist in monitoring tax policy changes and legislative implementation to adapt the argenx tax strategy and quantify any impact. Ensure utilization of available tax incentives, grants, programs. Should have 5+ years US and international tax experience with at least 2 years in a Big 4 accounting firm or large law firm. Experience in the biotech/pharma industry preferred. Law degree or/combined with another degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance. Results-driven and strategic as well as excited to be “hands-on” and detailed when necessary.
