Workers Rights Law Clerk, Summer The candidate will handle research and writing skills, have prior work experience, a strong work ethic, and have demonstrated commitment to public interest work, civil rights and community empowerment. Diverse 2L and 3L candidates, including candidates contemplating applying for post graduate fellowships in the future and seeking a host organization preferred. Assisting low-wage workers - predominantly in the San Gabriel Valley - in obtaining redress for wage theft and other labor exploitation through administrative procedures, preparing T-visa and U-visa petitions for victims of labor trafficking and/or workplace crimes, and developing know rights materials. Law clerks will also have the opportunity to work with attorneys to investigate potential impact litigation and work up those cases. Fluency in English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) is required. Note: Summer 2018, seeking a law clerk for a minimum commitment of 40 hours/week for 10 weeks.
