Law Student Volunteer, Summer 2019, Civil Division The candidate assist in the prosecution and defense of civil cases on behalf of the United States before the District Court, the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Bankruptcy Court. Intern assignments can include assisting in trial preparation, participating in witness interviews or civil depositions, and legal research and writing. Summer interns are also strongly encouraged to observe hearings and trials in the District Court, and even to participate. First-year (second semester), second- and third-year law students are invited to apply to the United States Attorney's summer internship program. Our ten-week program offers unpaid internships in the Civil Division. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Deadline : February 1, 2019.
