Executive Assistant and Paralegal
Duties: Act as a liaison with various departments across FHCSD. Interact with internal and external customers to include patients, vendors, auditors and inspectors on behalf of the SVP and General Counsel. Work cooperatively with others in creating and managing various data requests in developing information for cause and effect analysis, resolutions, and reports. May function as the lead on projects delegated to ensure completion and successful outcomes. Manage file management database, schedule meetings, and send a wide range of correspondence in support of operational requirements. Handle confidential information in providing support to complex legal issues, respond and answer complex, department specific questions when necessary. Conduct legal research related to legal documents, forms, and memorandums ranging from the routine to the complex. Provide support on preparations on agreements, resolutions, contracts and other related legal documents. Draft legal documents to include deposition notices, subpoenas, contracts and complaint resolutions. Ensure directives are effectively communicated and distributed to reporting staff. Work cooperatively with others in process analysis and improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, economics, psychology, healthcare or related field required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements. Certificate as a Paralegal preferred. Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years. Minimum 2 years of related experience. Knowledge of database development in managing a wide range information, variables, and operational functions. Exceptional skills in computer software and systems, specifically Microsoft Office to include strong Excel skills in creating graphs, macros, and dynamic data-related information and presentations. Demonstrated strong computer skills with the ability to manage and develop metrics in analysis of cause and effect scenarios. Excellent time management skills to include researching information, and preparing reports. Outstanding interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact positively and successfully with all levels of an organization. Outstanding business acumen skills to include a strong understanding in dealing with business situations in a manner that leads to positive outcomes. Demonstrated experience and understanding related to researching facts in identifying and providing outcomes relative to decision-making. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
