Personal Injury Paralegal DUTIES: Assist managing attorney and senior paralegal with Mass Tort Personal Injury case work. Reviewing and evaluating cases to prepare for attorney review; Ordering, reviewing and summarizing medical records; Assisting our Intake Specialists with managing a high volume intake system; Managing workflow of cases in case management system; Drafting and sending correspondence; Drafting complaints, discovery responses and other pleadings; Offering general assistance to attorney and senior paralegal; Responding to all client calls in a timely manner; and Properly documenting all events and communications.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a law firm setting, preferably a personal injury firm; Proven ability to assist attorneys and senior level paralegals; Experience with medical record ordering and review; Experience with drafting and filing complaints and other pleadings; Proficient with generating and executing mass mailings; Highly proficientin Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook (please do not apply if you have not proven your abilities to navigate and effectively use these programs without assistance in an office setting); Typing Speed of at least 50 WPM; Excellent phone etiquette; Experience in high-volume customer service; Ability to prioritize and schedule day effectively with minimal supervision; Strong time management and multitasking skills; High attention to detail; Superior organizational skills; and Superior communication skills that relay empathy and compassion towards potential clients while maintaining professionalism. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, preferred, but not required with sufficient experience. Experience with Lead Management software and Case Management software programs, strongly preferred. Experience with Mass Tort Litigations, strongly preferred. Managerial experience in a legal setting is ideal. Call Center and/or sales experience, preferred. Fluency in English & Spanish, preferred.
