Legislative Coordinator Duties: The candidate will be providing legislative program support, including reviewing legislation to identify bills potentially impacting the Department and assigning them to L&P analysts, assisting L&P analysts in identifying significant issues with bills and possible resolutions, and coaching L&P analysts on their development of tax legislation. Will be coordinating the assignment of "Legislative and Executive Requests" (requests for L&P's assistance concerning a legislative matter or received from the Executive Branch of state or local government). Coordinating division-sponsored training. Supervising a team of Tax Policy Specialists. Collaborating with other members of L&P's management team to coordinate subject matter assignments for L&P staff.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification: The candidate should have Juris Doctor degree or a Master's degree in taxation, public administration, or closely allied field.
Must have 5+ years of professional experience in tax policy analysis.ired education.
Significant experience in: Project management and Proven oral and written communication skills that demonstrate ability to consider the interests of others and articulate concise information and decisions to audiences with varying degrees of understanding in a way that ensures understanding and support.
