Paralegal Duties: Preparing, proofreading and reviewing materials such as estate plans, deeds, contracts, pleadings and motions; Opening FL LLCs and Incorporations; Preparing ancillary, formal, and summary probate pleadings; Following up with Judicial Assistants for Hearing dates, unanswered questions related to probate; Acting as a witness/notary for signings with Clients; Keeping cases and estate plans on a schedule with consistent follow-up; Assisting attorneys with scheduling; General office work such as answering phones when needed, scanning, faxing, & copying; and Taking proactive actions to follow-up on assigned projects to ensure that they are completed. Other office & case-related tasks as requested by Office Administrator and/or Lawyer.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, and entity formation. Must be detail oriented and get along easily with co-workers. Knowledge of FL Courts ePortal system, and Microsoft Office Suite required. Knowledge of Clio is a plus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills a must, along with a professional demeanor and good follow-up and organizational skills.
