Job Title: Associate Attorney - Employment Litigation Defense

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Evanston, IL, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a focus on employment litigation defense. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with an accomplished legal team, manage litigation strategies, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings. The position involves working directly with clients, managing litigation strategies, and participating in a wide range of employment law cases. Duties:

• Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including defending single-plaintiff lawsuits.
• Handle administrative matters involving employment-related agencies at both state and federal levels.
• Develop and execute legal strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Represent clients during mediations, depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel on employment matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain strong client relationships by offering clear, concise, and timely communication.
• Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and reports, with high attention to detail.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and litigation strategies.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably within employment law.
• Active Illinois Bar admission.
• Knowledge of current employment law and court procedures at both state and federal levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters with a high degree of professionalism.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Education:

• Graduate degree (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and valid Illinois Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and case management.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
• Familiarity with employment litigation processes and procedures.
