The candidate will serve in the management-side Employment, Labor and Workforce Management practice. Relevant experience includes preparation of employment policies and agreements, counseling on employee relations issues such as discipline and termination, accommodation requests, and leaves of absence, and conducting workplace investigations. Anti-harassment and other employment training experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws (wage and hour, trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws). Experience handling certain aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances is preferred. Admission to practice law in California is mandatory.
