Senior Attorney The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, opinions on strategies and support to the business on matters including but not limited to information technology, data privacy, data security and cyber security. Structure, negotiate and interpret agreements in all areas of software licensing and maintenance, IT consulting and telecommunications agreements, including transition of agreements during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Apply extensive knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Juris Doctor from American Bar Association-approved law school with excellent academic credentials and member in good standing of a State Bar Association required. Willingness to take and pass the state Bar exam within two years of date of hire required. Strong: written and oral communication skills; analytical skills required. 3+ years of legal experience (in-house counsel or specialty firm) in information technology, outsourcing and/or privacy and data protection experience required. 4 - 6 years of legal experience (in-house counsel or specialty firm) in information technology, outsourcing and/or privacy and data protection experience preferred. Previous non-legal experience in information technology; crisis management experience in responding to data security incident or inquiries from federal and state agencies or governing regulatory bodies preferred. Mastery of information technology/cyber-security law required. Excellent: analytical skills; written and oral communication skills required.
