Legal Assistant- Service Team, Collections Department The candidate will be reviewing legal documents to ensure they are properly formatted and contain all necessary portions or related documents for court acceptance; files legal documents with proper courts. Will be following up with sheriff and clerks' offices to obtain service information and request copies of such affidavits. Establishing and maintaining office files, logs, indices, legal references, control records and other information in connection with the work under the control of the assigned attorney and direct supervisor. Proofreading and correcting prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling punctuation, format, syntax and content. Performing related work as assigned. High School / Equivalency Diploma degree is needed. Knowledge of correct English usage is essential. Skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software and related applications are needed. Knowledge of legal terminology is preferred.
