Corporate Counsel, Litigation The candidate will be responsible for managing investigations related to internal compliance, pre-litigation, litigation and other types of corporate matters. Will assist in responding to government inquiries, subpoenas and in the management of general litigation. Managing internal compliance, pre-litigation, litigation and other types of investigations to include an investigation plan particular to each concern; Performing initial review of issues and determining specific course of actions including relevant contacts and appropriate approaches to conduct the investigation; Conducting fact finding and interviews to reach findings with respect to the substantiation of the complaint; Preparing investigation reports, summaries and action plans that are thorough, timely and well-written; Maintaining confidential information; Performing critical thinking, detailed analysis of information and leading through difficult situations; Maintaining accurate records relating to investigations that are conducted by Counsel; Managing and directing responses to government inquiries, subpoenas and general requests for documents; and Assisting in the management of general litigation, including, but not limited to, responses to litigation discovery, overseeing eDiscovery, and witness preparation.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have JD degree with a strong academic record. Should have 4 years of legal experience with emphasis on internal investigations, pharmaceutical litigation and/or ethics and compliance. Substantial experience in conducting investigations is required. Experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney or equivalent is desired. Experience in conducting and managing document reviews and eDiscovery is needed. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver crisp, clear and concise executive presentations is must. Strong PC and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) ability is required.
