SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the basic administrative duties in our Bakersfield, CA law office location, which includes document assembly and filing; processing incoming and outgoing mail; expense and time tracking and reports; and using clerical skills to assist with special projects. This position requires thorough attention to detail, reliability and flexibility so other staff can perform their jobs without delay. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of or enrollment in Bachelor’s degree (B.A./ B.S.) program; one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills, both oral and written in English and Spanish. Familiarity with computers including MS Word, Excel, Adobe, Gmail and internet.

WORK HOURS: Part-time 20 hours a week between 7 am-5 pm; Monday – Friday; may become full-time after 90-day probationary period.

COMPENSATION: $15 per hour; benefits if the position becomes full-time include medical, dental, vision, pension, 15 paid holidays per year.
