ProfileParalegal, Litigation & Regulatory The candidate will be an integral part of the legal team and will be responsible for performing legal tasks, working on legal projects, and providing administrative support to certain members of the legal team. Managing the litigation process for commercial litigation matters, including conducting fact investigation and drafting legal documents and correspondence. Gathering information, including electronically stored information (â€œESIâ€), and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, document requests and third party subpoenas. Managing the investigation and response process for customer complaints made to regulatory agencies. Monitoring and providing reports regarding cases, matters, hearings, trials, and/or meetings. Anticipating typical work for a matter and working with supervisors to ensure all aspects are addressed. Calendaring deadlines and ensuring accuracy of deadline reminders. Conducting legal research of applicable statutes, regulations, and court rules, and providing summaries regarding legislative updates to attorneys and business partners to ensure compliance. Assist with general administrative duties, as necessary. Additional responsibilities as required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree. 5+ years related experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house law department. Bachelorâ€™s degree or paralegal certificate a plus. Able to get things done by engaging in high level teamwork and flexing the interpersonal skills. Must be a respected and proven thought leader with a quantifiable track record of success in delivering results within a large complex organization. A natural problem-solver, who is also intuitively analytical and creative.
