Legal Assistant The candidate will ensure all case events are properly scheduled and calendared. Will coordinate hearings and case events with court, third-parties and opposing counsel. Assist in preparation of basic legal documents (motions for extension, notices of hearing, orders, etc.). Assist with discovery-related tasks such as document production and drafting responses. Proofread and finalize legal work product. E-file case documents and follow Court procedures. Prepare file and exhibits for hearings, depositions or trial. Assist lawyers in all aspects of litigation. Should have 1 year experience at a law firm. Understand how to prioritize and multitask is needed. Should possesses excellent written and proofreading skills. Strong communication skills to interact with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and judge is needed. Excellent organizational skill is needed. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and multi-line phone system is needed.
