Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will support attorneys and patent agents in all phases of U.S. and International patent prosecution as part of a multi-location IP team. Maintain a large patent and trademark docket – U.S. and International. Work closely with attorneys and agents to manage their dockets and support patent and trademark prosecution activities. Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients, including R&D teams, business teams, inventors, and managers. Formalize, file and docket U.S. and International patent and trademark applications, and prosecution action items. Prepare and handle all related formalities, such as Declarations, POAs, Assignments, Information Disclosures Statements, Missing Parts, etc. Correspond with international firms and agents. Research patent family information in multiple jurisdictions. Support litigation, as needed. Provide administrative support for the attorneys and agents, as needed. Must have 3+ years of relevant experience, including docketing a large global IP portfolio. Should preferably have Paralegal certificate. Knowledge of the PCT process, patent procedural requirements and USPTO practices is required. Excellent communication skills is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is must.
