A law firm seeks a full-time attorney to join its thriving health law practice in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role involves representing healthcare providers, including physicians and physician groups, in various corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters. Duties

• Advise healthcare clients on business transactions, including practice acquisitions, mergers, and contractual arrangements.
• Handle regulatory compliance matters, including adherence to healthcare laws and policies.
• Represent clients in third-party payer audits and appeals.
• Assist with professional licensing actions and related administrative proceedings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with clients to develop innovative legal strategies that address their unique needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in corporate and transactional law is preferred; less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Familiarity with healthcare law or experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Michigan State Bar or eligibility to obtain membership promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in business law principles, contract negotiation, and drafting.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, particularly in the healthcare sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
