ProfileCorporate Attorney The candidate will be responsible for all company litigation from inception to trial, as well as day-to-day case management. Will be responsible for assisting management on all corporate legal and regulatory matters. Preparing and filing government reports. Drafting legal documents. Reviewing new business relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Guiding managers on regulatory and compliance matters. Analyzing legal issues relating to proposed products. Representing the corporation before administrative boards and court trials. Providing supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation with their specialized legal services. Structuring joint enterprises with other organizations. Assisting management on general contracts, third-party agreements and vendor supplier relationships. Managing external counsel and general litigation. Ensuring compliance with trademarks, patents, intellectual property and trade secrets. Creating business legal reports and correspondence, and effectively presenting information to senior management. Responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies, customers and the business community.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association. Must hold an attorney’s license in the State of Texas. Should have 7-10 years of corporate law experience. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites - Word, Excel Advanced, PowerPoint and Outlook essential.
