Corporate - Contract Law
Min 5 yrs required
Mid-level Attorney The candidate will support a wide variety of legal matters, including commercial negotiation and contracting, procurement and network development, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, dispute resolution and litigation. Will draft, review and negotiate customer contracts, amendments, service order terms and conditions, and other legal documents. Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts, including for dark fiber, capacity services, colocation services and other miscellaneous goods and services. Interpret contracts and advise business partners of relevant legal, regulatory and commercial issues. Provide advice and guidance on regulatory issues and manage regulatory filings and compliance. Support corporate governance and compliance with corporate policies. Evaluate, negotiate and resolve disputes. Provide advice on the impact of legislative and regulatory developments. Engage and manage outside counsel where needed to support business objectives and to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance. Perform other duties and tasks as required by the needs of the business.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Law Degree and Bar Admission. Must have 5+ years of legal experience in telecommunications, including drafting and negotiating contracts. Experience working in international telecommunications and with cross-border transactions is preferred, particularly with Latin American markets is essential. Fluency in Spanish a plus. Experience in working with customers in the enterprise segment a plus. Experience with product launches and with entering new markets a plus. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills required with the ability to communicate with colleagues and external parties in the U.S. and abroad through clear writing and verbal skills. Strong organizational skills, including management of workload and setting goals and priorities are needed. Deadline: August 10, 2019.
