ProfileLogistics Management Specialist; GS 9 Duties: The candidate serves as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Air National Guard's 153d Maintenance Group's located in Cheyenne, WY. Control and coordinate various plans and programs involving aircraft logistics to include mobility, contingency, financial and facility management, and maintenance manning; and to accomplish budget formulations, and execution evaluations of logistics operating funds and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) funds for Depot Level Repairables (DLRs). Reviews all mobility, contingency, Emergency War and exercise plans affecting logistics and evaluates requirements in relation to capabilities and tasking. Reviews the logistics division portion of classified plans for full compliance with security regulations and policies to ensure that security compromise does not exists. Controls the facilities management program in the logistics division. Responsible for all actions concerning personnel readiness to include developing personnel operating procedures for mobility. Serves as liaison to civil engineering regarding facilities logistics, repair and renovation.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: The candidate should have 1+ year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service that has given you particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience which provides a thorough knowledge of planning, coordinating, and evaluating a logistics management program (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements) is essential.
Should have Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2- full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D. degree, in a relevant field of study (e.g., Logistics Management, History, Public Administration, any Science degree, Mathematics, Business). Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to perform the duties of the position.
Equivalent combinations or successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements is essential.
