Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing paralegal support and assistance to in-house legal staff and coordination with outside legal counsel. Duties include drafting of legal documents, document collection and review, coordinating all aspects of project intake and tracking and assuming responsibility for the maintenance of the project files. Gather, organize, summarize and index documents from various sources.Coordinate all aspects of the department’s timely, complete and accurate responses to numerous simultaneous requests in project matters. Assist in drafting correspondence, various employment, consulting and settlement agreements, policies and procedures, and other related documents. Review and analyze documents submitted to the legal department. Organize and maintain files for all projects. Accurate and timely maintenance of project status spreadsheets, populating spreadsheet with critical file-specific data, and noting significant developments or communications. Provide General Counsel with administrative support, as needed, including planning, scheduling, travel, expense reports, etc. Coordinate with U.S. and international external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice and provide internal recommendations. Act as liaison with various internal departments and personnel on a global basis.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Paralegal Certificate, plus 2-4 years paralegal experience in a transactional (non-litigation) role. 5 years of paralegal experience is preferred. Must have familiarity with contract terms and conditions; experience drafting contracts, letters and other legal documents. Must have advanced level of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be comfortable and proficient in using technology; familiarity using e-billing software (Legal Tracker/Serengeti), e-signature software and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred.
