Location:

Duties:

  • Defend single plaintiff claims related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination in state and federal courts.
  • Represent clients in complaints and charges before the CRD, EEOC, and California Labor Commissioner.
  • Provide general employment-related advice and counsel to clients.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Handle law and motion work, including preparing and responding to dispositive motions, motions to compel arbitration, and discovery-related motions.
  • Prepare case evaluations for clients and provide strategic advice.
  • Proactively manage and handle cases, ensuring deadlines and goals are met.
  • Prepare for and attend mediations, including drafting mediation briefs.
  • Attend court hearings, status conferences, and argue dispositive motions.
  • Gain experience in arbitration and trial proceedings.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in employment litigation, specifically with single plaintiff cases.
  • Experience defending harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims in state and federal courts.
  • Familiarity with representing clients before the CRD, EEOC, and California Labor Commissioner.
  • Expertise in preparing and responding to discovery requests and motions.
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions.
  • Arbitration and trial experience is a plus.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently manage cases and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of California.

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
