Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its legal team. The successful candidate will handle a variety of family law cases with minimal supervision and must be comfortable managing cases from initial consultation through to trial. This position requires a strong background in family law, including child and spousal support, custody, domestic violence, and the division of marital assets.

Location:

• Huntington Beach, CA

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery and legal research related to family law cases.
• Manage a high volume of cases related to divorce, custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and division of assets and debts.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and conferences.
• Organize and maintain detailed client files and case records.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Experience handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong litigation skills and experience representing clients in court.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar license.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Ability to draft and review legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in legal research and discovery processes.
