Paralegal Specialist
Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, provides assistance and performs tasks to support the legal department attorneys and, occasionally, to provide support to outside counsel. Maintains and organizes legal files, conducts legal and factual research, performs special projects, and performs litigation support involving documents and witnesses. Organize, track projects and schedules, and prepare documents related to litigation, transactional, regulatory, real estate matters, and other legal department projects. Maintain and manage records and project actions for litigation, real estate projects, and other matters. Respond to subpoenas and assist in gathering information for and preparing discovery responses. Create and implement legal tools and process improvements. Oversee and perform various administrative and attorney-support duties, including preparing presentation materials, scheduling meetings, and interfacing with internal clients. Implement, coordinate, contribute and assist attorneys with research and other projects as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Certification of completion of a state bar association approved paralegal program. Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. Ability to interface with internal clients, outside counsel, and representatives of U.S. Government agencies. Experience with real estate litigation and transactional matters. Customer service orientation. Must work well in a team environment. Must be detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks and projects. Must possess strong organizational and project management skills. Must demonstrate excellent judgment with a strong ability to analyze and communicate effectively. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree, or 3 or more years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree.
