Senior Sourcing Manager The candidate will be involved with multiple cost savings initiatives focusing on the aerial plant environment with high visibility from leadership. May be responsible for contributing to the company's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions. Project manage initiatives from development of request for proposals, ensuring goals are accomplished in the field through awarded vendors, and gathering and utilizing key data points to meet company objectives. Work with a team in developing new software that will centralize every characteristic of the pole assets company wide. Administer inventories of pole assets with joint use power companies across the country. Put in place streamline processes and alignment across both regions on how these are performed and what data sets are acquired. Work with regions to monitor and ensure timeliness of pole transfers to avoid expense exposure as a result of contractual obligations. Present progress regularly on established cost savings goals and initiatives with leadership. Manage program to identify and remove non-working aerial plant from power poles to reduce rental payments owed. Assist in the development of long- and short-term objectives to ensure that programs and efforts are directed toward achieving company goals. May initiate corrective action to assure objectives are met and assist in the establishment and administration of unit policies, procedures and systems. Participate in the development of goals and budgets for area of responsibility. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and exercise judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Procurement is desired. Graduate degree (MBA, Paralegal certification) is preferred or CPM. Must have 5+ years of experience in designing and constructing outside plant facilities, specifically as it relates to pole desk functions. Business, cost management and quality experience is desired. Strong data manipulation skills are needed. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Understanding of complex contractual terms and conditions is preferred. Background in both the construction and engineering network operations are desired. Structured process orientated approach is an asset.
