Litigation/Corporate Legal Assistant Duties: Litigation experience in state and federal courts. Draft cover letters and make edits to documents. Organization and maintenance of hard-copy and digital client files. Draft corporate documents. Draft and transcribe memos to file. Prepare new client engagement letters. Maintain accurate and up-to-date files (digital and hard files). Prepare check requests and expense reimbursement forms. Be proactive and anticipate needs. Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and appointments. Communicate professionally with attorneys, vendors, courts, and experts. Manage relationships with vendors and coordinate services. Answer phones as needed. Manage and update calendars.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Experience filing documents in state and federal courts including eFiling procedures. Experience with filing corporate documents with state and federal agencies. Good understanding of court rules, procedures, and calendaring requirements. Experience formatting pleadings and other litigation documents. Ability to generate a TOC and TOA. Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with using Document Management Software. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Professional, or other PDF software. Proficiency with calendaring software. Sound professional judgment; a self-starter attitude; attention to detail; flexibility to perform litigation, corporate, and administrative tasks as needed; a willingness to learn; a positive approach to work; and an ability to work well with others in an office setting.
