Contracts Specialist Duties: Assist in reviewing, drafting and negotiating sales contracts such as Software Licensing Agreements, Master Services Agreements and Custom Software Agreements, and other ancillary documentation for business. Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders during negotiation process. Works closely with Legal, Finance and Implementation teams in coordinating contractual and technical commitments. Facilitate the contract documentation, approval and signature processes and ensure all contractual obligations are in adherence with company policies, regulatory requirements and business strategy. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements. Liaising with Proposals Team to review Terms and Conditions / Contracts received in a Request for Proposal (RFP, RFQ, RFI, Bid). Assist in contract negotiations. Track contract progress for business development and analysis.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Post-secondary degree and/or paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Management, Business or related field. 2+ years’ experience in contracts administration and negotiations preferred. Experience with software products a plus. High attention to detail and reading comprehension. The demonstrated ability to work as a team. Enthusiasm for expanding knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a dynamic technology office. Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries. Excellent task management and organizational skills. Effective communication skills both written and verbal with stress on articulating and writing effectively. Computer literacy – proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat with the ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties, including the ability to work with electronic contract documentation.
