Duties: Conducting operations research and economic analysis studies Performing a variety of assignments in the areas of product research, market management and market research, using knowledge of market research and marketing concepts, Evaluating business and marketing strategies to identify and recommend areas to focus upon for improvements to and growth of FAS business performance. Conducting and/or participating in complex studies in marketing research, which includes data analysis, statistical modeling and query building, formatting, and programming skills to support sales and marketing efforts. Developing data-driven recommendations and operational alternatives, which are presented to marketing management Making recommendations in various formats to audiences in formal and informal settings.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification: A. Specialized Experience: 1+ year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing routine market studies and market analyses, collecting market research data, evaluating, and presenting the information. OR
B. Education: One full year of graduate-level education or a master's or higher degree, e.g., LL.B., J.D., LL.M., PhD., in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of a Market Research Analyst OR
C. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the baccalaureate level is fully qualifying at the GS-7 level. To claim SAA, submit documentation of one of the following:

A grade-point average (rounded to one decimal point) of (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on the official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; OR (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during your final 2 years of the curriculum. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.

D. A combination of specialized experience and graduate-level education as described in "A" and "B" above that, when combined, fulfills the requirements.
