Paralegal I, II, and III The candidate will review of scanned images of documents, utilizing document review software applications, for privileged, confidential, or otherwise protected information, including information protected under attorney-client privilege, attorney work product privilege, deliberative process privilege, the Trade Secrets Act (TSA), the Privacy Act, and any other federal statute, law, or court order that requires or authorizes federal agencies to protect such information from disclosure. Will review of hard copies of documents for privileged, confidential, or otherwise protected information, including information protected under attorney-client privilege, attorney work product privilege, deliberative process privilege, the Trade Secrets Act (TSA), the Privacy Act, the Indian Mineral Development Act (IMDA), the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation (SMCRA), the Archeological Resources Protection Act, and any other federal statute, law, or court order that requires or authorizes federal agencies to protect such information from disclosure.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must be an advanced (Bachelor’s) degree or its equivalent is required. Should have 2-5 years of experience in the legal field or in a related area. Extensive knowledge of legal procedures relating to the areas of law is needed. Paralegal or law degree is preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particulate field. Must possess knowledge of the title standards, title opinions, title evidence, and the ability to review title evidence and make determinations and to create a title opinion recommendation. Knowledge of legal research techniques and the ability to apply this knowledge to the analysis of legal problems, preparation of legal documents, and the initiation of recommendations concerning various legal issues is needed. Ability to communicate orally to convey, obtain, exchange information, and conduct fact-finding interviews with governmental personnel or individuals in businesses or other is needed. Should be able effectively communicate both orally and in writing to convey, obtain, exchange information and documents with the relevant bureaus and offices and SOL supervising attorney.
