State, Local And Hire Education Senior Legal Corporate Specialist - Paralegal Duties: The candidate assists attorneys in reviewing various agreements with clients, vendors and third parties, including confidentiality agreements. Reviews request for proposals (RFPs) in order to provide guidance on the completion of RFP forms and certificates, advise on requirements related to the protection of bidder confidential information, and prepare exceptions to RFP contractual terms for review by the assigned attorney, as needed. Assists attorneys with research and day-to-day practice support. Assists attorneys in reviewing and responding to public information requests, requests from clients regarding corporate information and other requests, as needed. Leads, and assists in leading, important internal projects relating to internal process improvement and knowledge management. Drafts documents and correspondence. Performs other functions such as proofreading, redlining, and organizing and maintaining reference materials and databases. Performs legal research utilizing legal reference publications, computer databases and other tools. Manages important administrative functions, such as entering information into electronic databases and organizing and maintaining files. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree. Must have 3+ years of paralegal or similar experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Also, 5+ years of paralegal or similar experience. Paralegal certificate preferred. Should be able to operate at a high level with minimum supervision, make decisions in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines of the Firm US Firms and must be able to discern when attorney or supervisor involvement is necessary. Must have excellent management and administrative skills (including project management) in a legal department or similar environment. Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines. Familiarity with professional service agreements, particularly agreements in the state, local, and/or higher education space, is a plus.
