Legal Assistant/Paralegal Candidate will work for law firm specializing in medical malpractice and general civil defense. Will: Maintain litigation docket, calendar, noting deadline dates for responsive pleadings/motions, court appearances, and other important deadlines; Prepare attorneys for meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial; Conduct or coordinate factual investigation, including interviews of witnesses; Coordinate depositions and mediations; Draft interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production of documents, and requests for disclosure; Draft various pleadings, motions and orders; Review of claim files; gather, organize, summarize and analyze factual data collected; Draft responses to discovery requests/meet with clients when necessary to gather discovery information; Assist in locating medical experts; and Order medical, billing, radiology and employment records.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 3 years' experience. Baccalaureate degree is preferred.
