Legal Assistant The candidate responsibilities include: Heavy proofreading and formatting of pleadings, correspondences, and other legal documents. Handling court filings in State, Federal, and Appellate courts (including e-filing). Preparing table of contents, table of authorities, and proofs of service. Providing general office support and, on occasion, light reception support. Must have a complete understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), WordPerfect and Adobe Acrobat. Should have knowledge of California court rules and procedures. Familiarity with the California Style Manual and The Bluebook is a plus. Should have 2+ years of experience and stable work history. Paralegal experience is a plus.
