Corp Transactions - Loan Closer The candidate will coordinate and communicate with multiple internal departments (Transactions, Legal, Insurance, Accounting) and outside vendors to facilitate an efficient process to close loans. Work closely with Loan Coordinator, Transaction Managers, borrowers and their brokerage and legal representatives to timely obtain all borrower and property due diligence materials, including KYC information and third-party reports. Deliver borrower and property due diligence materials to lender counsel, participate in weekly checklist calls, and follow up with responsible parties for any missing items throughout the process. Review legal documentation for conformity with term sheet and include Director of Sr. Loan Transactions and Transaction Managers when providing responses to lender counsel regarding any changes requested by the borrower. Keep outside insurance consultants up to date with closing schedules, and make sure they have all the legal and property information needed to timely review insurance materials in advance of closing. Coordinate with HG Insurance to provide final review and approval of insurance. Ensure all required borrower, property, loan and legal information (pre-and post-closing) is delivered to the servicer and warehouse lender, using an established electronic platform. Monitor all borrowers, property, loan and legal information for compliance with securitization exit requirements. Review Lender Funding Statement and Final Settlement Statement in conjunction with all invoices, term sheets, and established escrows to ensure the accurate flow of funds at closing.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of related experience. Prior bank real estate loan closing experience and/or real estate paralegal background preferred. Basic knowledge of real estate loan underwriting terminology. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong intellect, intellectual curiosity and highly motivated. Intermediate to Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Ability to work independently and under critical time constraints. Ability to handle multiple deals in various stages of the closing process at all times. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
